Jessica Sarowitz, founder of Miraflores Films and Executive Producer of WITH THIS LIGHT, is a social impact investor and entrepreneur. As a Latinx woman and the daughter of immigrants, she seeks out projects around the world that directly benefit people of color with much needed facilities and resources. She works in collaboration with communities in need to create transformative opportunities and experiences. Jessica created Miraflores films to bring awareness to the stories of marginalized groups and amplify the voices of inspiring women through documentary film. Miraflores Films believes in deliberate and dynamic distribution of their projects to inspire others to lead with compassion and become change-makers within their own communities. She is an active philanthropist, advocating for the missions of several nonprofits including The Field Museum, Sierra Club Foundation, and one that she co-founded, the Julian Grace Foundation. Julian Grace Foundation funds philanthropic ventures through an entrepreneurial and social impact lens. These ventures have included orphanages and clinics in Central America, innovative educational programs for foster kids, state-of-the art urban centers for arts and technology education, the preservation of indigenous cultures and various other educational and social justice programs. A graduate of DePaul University, Jessica is also the Managing Partner of 4S Bay Partners, a family office that oversees several private businesses, real estate, and investments in diverse industries such as domestic and international payroll, film-making and commercial & residential real estate holdings. Through her leadership of 4S Bay, she partners with local organizations to create economic opportunities and amplify the storytelling of, for, and about marginalized communities.
