As Dorri McWhorter mentioned in the video above, women wear many hats in the community.
They do the important work of civil society as philanthropists, volunteers, nonprofit CEOs, board members, mothers, daughters, leaders, change agents. Women build community, build trust, seek solutions, and use new tools to address pressing problems across the globe. And, in many cases, they do this work in partnership with like-minded men.
In fact, women are doing what women have always done throughout American history - actions often omitted in the history books - strengthening democracy through their philanthropic efforts in civil society.
Please join us at DREAM. DARE. DO., March 14-15, in Chicago for timely conversations about what it means to be a woman philanthropic leader in the 21st century. How do we synthesize the many hats we wear to accelerate social change?
